We are seeking a part-time person to start April 1, 2022 to coordinate client communications, reservations, social media content, and retail shop operations.
Schedule:
- Wednesday-Sunday, from home and from our Skamokawa office
- 3 hours/day in the Skamokawa retail shop on alternate Thursdays, every Saturday and Sunday, April through October
- Otherwise, hours are flexible

Duties:
- Maintain calendar of trips and guides
- Communicate via email and phone with clients
- Facilitate communication between clients, guides, and owners
- Maintain retail shop, its equipment and inventory and work the counter after programs on alternate Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
- Assess and answer program inquiries
- Guide clients through decisions
- Services and options
- Schedule resources (kayaks, guides, transportation, gear)
- Assess skill levels in trip candidates and advise on trip choices
- Communicate with guides and other staff for blog material & photos
- Follow up with clients after trip for feedback and quotes
- Post blogs and social media
- Respond to social media conversations
Compensation and perks:
- Pay $17/hr. as an independent contractor (no taxes taken out). Training can start as early as March 16, 2021 at a rate of $12/hr. until CRK and coordinator is confident to work independently
- Use of CRK paddling equipment
- Continued training towards further kayaking skill and certification
- Participation in CRK tours and classes
